Summer Sports Camps

Summer Sport Camps are a great way to learn a new sport, develop your child’s skills over the summer, and make new friends! The YMCA teaches the fundamentals of each sport in a co-ed non-competitive manner that integrate our four core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility in all that we do.

Camps are broken down by age groups to allow for proper instruction for all. Sign up early! Spaces are limited to 24 per camp! All sport camps will be held at the Longmont Y. 

 

PLEASE NOTE

  Registrations for all camps close 1 week before the camp takes place. (i.e. midnight on Sunday) 

  NO EXCEPTIONS.

Sports Sampler Camp

Start your summer off right with the Longmont YMCA.  Come to the first camp of the summer and spend your time playing sports, learning new games, playing in the pool and making new friends!  Spaces are limited so sign up today!  Please bring your child with a healthy lunch, sunscreen on, swimsuit and towel and a great attitude to start off the summer!
2 Day Camp - 9am-4pm – 1st grade through 6th grade

 

Baseball/Softball

A great camp to get ready for the YMCA’s summer baseball league.  Learn the basics of baseball including, hitting, throwing, fielding, and speed/agility training!
Please bring your child with baseball glove, sunscreen on, snack and water bottle in tow.

 

Basketball

Improve your child’s skill set over the summer and surprise your coaches next season!  We will work on shooting, dribbling, passing, defense, and offensive drills throughout the camp.  Please bring your child with sunscreen on, and snack and water bottle in tow.

 

Swim Camp

Kids will learn swimming techniques, increase physical fitness and have fun! Please see the Aquatics page on our website for more details!

 

Adventure Camp

Have an explorer in your house always looking for the next adventure?  Sign them up for the YMCA Outdoor adventure camp!  Rock climbing, hiking, archery, bicycling and swimming will fill the week!  Please bring your child with sunscreen on, and snack and water bottle in tow.
Camp is limited to the first 12 who sign up

 

Soccer

Great warm up for the fall soccer season!  Each day your child will learn a new skill and then be able to practice that skill in a game type situation.  Please bring your child with sunscreen on, and snack and water bottle in tow.
